The evolution of Ninja
Recording Monitor
The original Ninja rocked the world, combining an HD disk recorder with a touchscreen monitor you could hold in your hand. It captured pristine, uncompressed video direct from the first generation of DSLRs straight onto a removable SSD. Today, Ninja handles video sources up to nine times that resolution, has a 5-inch HDR screen, records ProRes, and connects to almost every camera in the world. Little wonder “Atomos” is now in the vocabulary of almost every filmmaker.

SegmentPro
SegmentPro is another powerful new tool exclusive to our completely redesigned AtomOS 11 operating system. It allows you to segment/split long recordings into user-defined chunks, adding even more flexibility to the production workflow. The segmenting can be defined by setting a custom file size limit, in GB or TB, or by time, all without dropping a frame.
With SegmentPro you can fit your files into any workflow – even those that require smaller media (for example, if you are going to edit on an iPad). It’s easier to share smaller files, and safer too: if you lose a big file, you’ve lost everything. Working with smaller files minimizes this risk.

A Guide to H.265
H.265 is a popular codec choice due to its low bandwidth requirements and smaller file sizes. With H.265, you can store more video, stream in better quality, and edit and publish directly from the cloud for fast turnaround video social media posts. This eBook is for anyone considering using H.265 as a recording format.
